Description

The Crime

The year is 2025. The city is Pune. The neighbourhood: Shanti Nagar Housing Society — where everyone knows your business, your tiffin menu, and your exact number of visitors on Diwali.

For seven years running, Pushpa Sharma — known to the entire colony as Nani — has dominated the Annual Sweet Competition with her legendary besan ladoos. The recipe is a family secret. The taste is transcendent. The competition is a formality.

Tonight, Nani made 100 perfect besan ladoos for tomorrow’s competition. She locked them in the kitchen cabinet. She went for her evening walk. She returned two hours later.

The cabinet was open. The dabbas were empty. Every. Single. Ladoo. Gone. Only besan crumbs remained — leading from the kitchen to approximately everywhere in the house. Nani’s scream was heard three buildings away.

Now the Sharma family is under lockdown. And every single person in the house has a motive — because Nani’s ladoos are, objectively, the most delicious thing any of them have ever tasted.

The Suspects

Everyone was home. Everyone is lying. Everyone has besan residue on their person. But the question isn’t who wanted the ladoos. Everyone wanted the ladoos. The question is: who PLANNED the heist?

  • Nani (Pushpa Sharma) — The Ladoo Queen. Seven-time colony champion. Currently at volcanic rage levels. She wants answers and she wants them NOW.
  • Papa (Rajesh Sharma) — The Diet Offender. On a strict no-sugar diet for six months. Has been to the bathroom four times in two hours. Keeps his phone face-down.
  • Mummy (Sunita Sharma) — The Secret Competitor. Has been going to the car three times this evening. Claims it’s for her phone charger. Nervously adjusts her dupatta.
  • Guddi (Aanya Sharma) — The Teenage Entrepreneur. Was “doing homework” in her room all evening. Phone never more than two inches from her hand. Alternates between looking bored and looking guilty.
  • Chachu (Vikash Sharma) (optional) — The Lovesick Uncle. Showed up wearing cologne and carrying a gift bag he won’t let anyone look inside. Is never this cheerful. Something’s wrong.
  • Bunty (Kabir Sharma) (optional) — The Cricket Captain. Already confessed to taking “a few.” Also fed some to the colony stray dog. Found a very interesting piece of paper in the kitchen.

What’s Inside

This is a complete, print-and-play game pack — everything you need for one legendary game night:

  • Host Guide with full timeline, scripts for each round, and tips for keeping things hilarious
  • Common Backstory Page shared with all players to set the scene
  • 6 Character Dossiers (4 core + 2 optional) — each with a unique story, relationships, secrets, alibis, conversation starters, and an opening line
  • 10 Evidence Cards released across 3 rounds — forensic reports, financial records, anonymous messages, and bombshell revelations that will have your family pointing fingers and shouting accusations
  • Red Herring Documents — false leads and suspicious evidence to throw detectives off the trail
  • Voting Ballot & Accusation Chit — for the formal (and dramatic) final accusation
  • Quick Reference Cards — one-line reminders so nobody forgets their mission
  • Full Solution — for the host’s eyes only, with a dramatic reveal script and prize suggestions

How It Works

One person hosts (the Colony Secretary — narrator and referee). Everyone else plays a suspect. Over three rounds of interrogation, secrets surface, alibis collapse, and evidence converges on one criminal mastermind.

RoundWhat Happens
Round 1 — The Interrogation BeginsFirst alibis. First lies. First accusations.
Round 2 — Secrets & SuspicionAlibis collapse. A mid-round bombshell drops.
Round 3 — Final AccusationsThe evidence converges. Build your case.
Finale — The Big RevealThe mastermind is unmasked. Argue about it over chai for the next three hours.

Who Is This For?

  • Family game nights — ages 10 and up. Kids and grandparents play together.
  • Diwali parties, Raksha Bandhan get-togethers, birthday celebrations — any occasion where your family is already in the same room arguing about something.
  • Friend groups who love Indian comedy, Bollywood drama, and food.
  • First-time mystery game players — no experience needed. The host guide walks you through everything.

The Vibe

This is a comedy, not a thriller. Think loud family dinner energy. Overacting is encouraged. Pyjamas are the dress code. Serve actual ladoos for maximum immersion. Chai is mandatory.
